What is Intraday Exposure ?

Intraday exposure is the exposure which is provided EXTRA amount for Intraday Trading in your Trading account. e.g. If Intraday Traders are having Rs.25000 capital in his trading account, he can trade for an amount of Rs. 1,25,000 to Rs.2,00,000 depending on the exposure policy of your Trading Company ( Broker). Generally NSE broker or Trading Company give 5 times to 10 times Intraday Exposure (Day Trading Limit ) of your Capital.

But please REMEMBER that you have to square off your intraday position at the end of the trading session, as you are getting exposure only for intraday. If you do not square up the position before the decided time by your NSE stock broker or Trading Companies Policy, they will square up your position at market rate without taking any permission from you (Intraday stock Traders)

Please Read the Following example for details .
Mr. X is Intraday stock trader.
Xyz is the name of trading company (who is the Member of the NSE stock exchange. )
Xyz POLICY FOR INTRADAY EXPOSURE

XYZ gives 5 time intraday exposure to Intraday Traders BUT Intraday Traders have to square up all position before 3.15 if traders will not square up position before 3.15, the XYZ (Trading Company) will square all positions of Intraday Traders any time between 3.16 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. ( Nse market time is 9.15 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. )

E.g. Mr. X is having trading account with capital of Rs. 25000 in XYZ. So XYZ will provide Rs.1,25,000 as Intraday Exposure (Intraday Trading Limit) for Intraday trading.

Now Mr. X buys 100 Axis Bank @ 1200 at 10.15 am and Solds 100 Axis Bank @1250 03.10 P.M. pm today ( same day ). So Mr. X has got profit of Rs. 5,000/ on same day.

In any circumstances If Mr. X doesn'ts sells 100 Axis Bank before 3.15 p.m. ( According to XYZ time policy), XYZ the broker has the right to sell the 100 INFY before 3.30 p.m. at prevalent rates
